Horror moment HGV driver causes five car pile-up after one basic mistake

In the alarming video, Christopher Tribe, 57, can be seen driving a lorry with a misted-up window moments before he crashes into a minibus on the B5129 in Flintshire, Wales

Shocking footage shows the moment a dozy lorry driver caused a ‘horror’ five vehicle pile-up after failing to carry out a basic safety check before driving.

Christopher Tribe, 57, was driving the HGV with a misted-up windscreen when he crashed into a white minibus, spilling glue all over the B5129 at Sandycroft, Flintshire, Wales, on December 3 last year. In court, it was heard how Tribe did not take sufficient measures to clear the glass while driving the lorry, leading him to have “poor visibility”. Dashcam footage shows the HGV driver changing gears just a couple of seconds before the crash, with the impact instantly cracking the window, knocking off his cap and sending objects flying through his cabin.
